Meet our Team

Lisa is passionate about helping others achieve their dreams and created LL Medical English to do just that. An English speaker from Canada, she originally studied biochemistry and dietetics (including a Master of Science), completed an MBA (Master of Administration) and worked for more than 12 years in direct marketing (specializing in writing for marketing purposes) in the financial sector before moving to Madrid in 2013.

Since then, Lisa has been helping health professionals attain the level of English they need for various professional goals. Her clients have presented in English at international conferences and events in Greece, the United Arab Emirates, Belgium, Spain, USA and Canada, to name a few, and have actively participated in English at international medical or scientific meetings in many countries. Her clients have also successfully passed the OET test and are now working abroad in various health professions around the world.

Classes with Lisa are fun, superorganized and goal oriented with every class focusing on a specific skill or learning objective. Her style is very interactive and full of digital tools and resources. Classes can include starting with small talk, reviewing homework, teaching grammar & vocabulary, sharing exam strategies, and providing regular feedback and advice about working and living abroad.

As the owner and founder of LL Medical English, she is passionate about being an entrepreneur and creating content and resources for LL Medical English’s blog, newsletter, classes, and social media. When she isn’t planning and creating new lessons or courses, Lisa enjoys travelling, trying new restaurants, improving her Spanish and dancing salsa.
